Camps for Kids in Sea Pines

Fun for Kids Summer Day Camp: Ages 4 - 12

The Sea Pines Resort’s Fun For Kids is a high-energy, activity-based, outdoor oriented summer day camp. Activites include swimming, the Water Fun Park, miniature golf, arts & crafts and a whole lot more. Trained professional staff offers a safe, supervised, fun and exciting program for children. Low Country Teen Day Camp: Ages 12 - 17

This is a three day camp for kids ages 12-17. The emphasis of the camp is on ecosystems and techniques used by locals for fishing, crabbing and kayaking as well as species identification. Water Activities for Kids in Sea Pines

Kids’ Water Fun: Ages 4 - 13

Join the Commander Zodiac staff at South Beach for a fun-filled morning of beach Olympics, sail and power boat rides, crabbing, water balloons, a scavenger hunt and more. All activities are fully supervised by their experienced staff to allow Mom and Dad a little get away while the kids play. Provided life jackets are required to be worn while on any of the boats. Junior Sailing Course: Ages 7 - 16

Join Commander Zodiac at South Beach Marina for a two day course taught on an AMF Sunfish and Hobie Wave catamaran. This course is designed for youths with or without previous sailing experience. Instruction includes water and boat safety, rigging, jibing, points-of-sail, righting a capsized boat and much more. Sailing certificates are awarded upon successful completion of the course. Kayaking Adventures for Kids and Teens: Ages 7 - 11 & 12 - 16

Two adventure-filled hours learning the basics of kayaking. Designed for kids with or without prior experience. Kayaking includes basic paddling techniques, water and boat safety, capsizing, currents and more. We also go crabbing and lead beach explorations. Provided lifejackets are required to be worn. Lucky Ducky

Splish and splash your way through the afternoon by joining our Recreation Staff at the Harbour Town pool for a chance to win a prize by catching a rubber duck with a winning number. For more information call 843-842-1979. Complimentary.

Swimming Lessons

Land Activities for Kids in Sea Pines

Harbour Town Playground

This is a family favorite for taking kids to run off that extra energy and for the parents to find the inner kid. The Harbour Town Playground has a treehouse, footbridge and a lookout tower.

Harbour Town Lighthouse

Children 5 and under climb for free. Once inside, you’ll learn fun facts, hear authentic area music and see real artifacts from each of the Island’s historic eras. Spectacular views of the Harbour, surrounding Sound and golf course await you up top. For more information call 843-671-2810.

Story Time at the Nature Center: Ages 2 - 6

Come to The Sea Pines Resort Nature Center in Harbour Town to hear a tale about alligators, sharks, birds, manatees and all sorts of other creatures that live on Hilton Head Island. Feel free to tour the Nature Center after story time to get a chance to meet some of these amazing creatures up close.

Family Hayride

Freshwater Fishing

Enjoy a relaxing morning by the beautiful lakes of the Sea Pines Forest Preserve. Watch for turtles, alligators and birds as you fish for large mouth bass, crappie, bream and catfish. Fishing tackle provided by Shakespeare; catch and release. Reservations are required. Call 843-842-1979.

Let’s Go Crabbing

Spend your morning on the sandy shores of South Beach in search of Hilton Head Island’s largest and tastiest crab, the Blue Crab. Photo Scavenger Hunt

Wildlife Discovery Series

Gather around with our naturalist at The Sea Pines Resort Nature Center to learn about and interact with native snakes, turtles and even an alligator. Pony Rides, Small Animal Farm & Trail Rides at Lawton Stables

If you are 8 years and older, have fun on an escorted trail ride thru the Sea Pines Forest Preserve. For those 7 years and under, there are pony rides to enjoy. Be sure to visit the complimentary small animal farm and meet the goat triplets "Peanut", "Butter", and “Jelly” and all their friends. Remind Mom and Dad to bring their camera. Golf for Kids in Sea Pines

Future Stars Junior Golf Program: Ages 4 - 12

The Sea Pines Resort offers a fun introduction to the game by qualified PGA Golf Professionals. The clinic teaches golf fundamentals, emphasizing safety, etiquette and rules. No experience is expected or required. For information and reservations please call 843-842-1477.

South Beach Racquet Club Junior Tennis Programs

• Pee Wee Tennis: Ages 5 - 8. Pee Wee Tennis is a great introduction to tennis for your child. The emphasis is teaching basic tennis skills in a fun environment. Monday through Friday, 9 - 10 AM (summer season only)
• Junior Daily Tennis Drills Clinic: Ages 10 & up. Juniors will combine stroke development with timing and balance through a variety of fun drills and games. Monday through Friday: 11 - 12 noon (summer season only).
• Junior Tennis Daily Stroke of the Day Clinic: Ages 8 & up. Work on a different stroke each day, with emphasis on learning correct technique, timing and balance. Monday thorugh Friday, 10 - 11 AM (summer season only)

The Sea Pines Resort Children's Tennis Programs

Introduce your child to the game of tennis with one of our award-winning programs, available March, April, and June through August. Focus is placed on hand / eye coordination, basic skills, movement, and lots of fun.

The Sea Pines Resort Junior Tennis Instructional Programs

The Sea Pines Resort's top-rated junior programs offer the best of our adult instruction to the younger set, with special focus on good sportsmanship and the development of skills that will last a lifetime. Junior programs are offered March to mid-May, and Mid-June through Labor Day.

• Junior Stroke of the Day: Ages 9 - 14.  A perfect morning program for beginner to intermediate players focusing on the proper techniques of a stroke. Monday through Friday, 9 - 10 AM.
• Junior Daily Drills: Ages 9 - 14.  Designed for beginner to intermediate players, the Daily Drills places you in a variety of play-type situations, with emphasis on particular strokes taught in the Stroke of the Day. Monday through Friday, 10 - 11 AM.
• Junior Daily Double: Ages 9 - 15.  Take both the Stroke of the Day and Daily Drills Clinit at a terrific savings. Groove the stroke of the day through a variety of custom clinics. Monday through Friday, 9 - 11 AM.
• Junior Challenger: Ages 11 - 16.  High intermediate to high school level. This program focuses on advanced footwork, advanced stroke production and basic patterns of play. Monday through Friday, 3 - 5 PM.
• Junior Masters: Ages up to 18 years.  For ranked tournament players looking for a less intensive program than the Smith-Stearns Tennis Academy. This program works on the competitive skills required to excel on the junior circuit. Monday through Friday, 3 - 5 PM.

Smith-Stearns Tennis Academy

The Sea Pines Resort is the proud home of the Smith-Stearns Tennis Academy, which works with promising junior and young professional players on an individual level. Stan Smith has partnered with internationally recognized professional and junior coach, Billy Stearns in creating a tennis academy designed for individual junior player development. All craft activities take place at the Craft Cove at the Sea Pines Beach Club. Enjoy an enchanting evening with Gregg Russell under the stars and grand branches of the Liberty Oak Tree in Harbour Town. Audience participation is encouraged with Gregg's sing-a-longs, ballads and silly songs. The concert is complimentary.

Face painting, hair wraps and airbrush tattoos are available before the show for a fee.

Enjoy roasted marshmallows and lemonade while Louise Cohen, native Hilton Head Islander, captivates audiences with her myths and tales about the Gullah lifestyle. Evening Hayride

Find out what goes bump in the night by experiencing the Sea Pines Forest Preserve after dark. Salty Dog Café Evening Activities & Events

The Salty Dog Cafe is an island staple which has delighted locals and visitors for over two decades. Kids dance on to the sounds of Dave Kemmerly or Bruce Crichton while parents kick back and watch the sunsets. Year-round fun can be found along the boardwalk.
